Our spring bikini fling
MEDITERRANEAN style was unveiled for spring yesterday, with Italian suiting flair colliding with naughty bikinis perfect for a Spanish island escapade. Known for his structured suits in fine Italian fabrics, Dom Bagnato produced a relaxed, summery affair of lilac cashmere V-neck pullovers and seersucker pinstripe jackets perfect for slinging on with a pair of jeans come January. An intimate room at the Melbourne Town Hall hosted the offerings, with subtle hints of orange and lavender used to highlight suits in the palest of mushroom browns and light grey. Video: Hot in the city For more than 20 years, Bagnato has been at the forefront of men's style in this city. He keeps abreast of European trends, with regular trips to Italy sourcing wool pinstripe, buttons and silk linings.
Details given on mill project
PITTSFIELD A group interested in converting the former A.H. Rice Silk Mill into a "mixed income, multi-generational community" hopes to begin construction on the first phase of the project next spring. The next step, they said, is to pursue the necessary change in zoning for the site, which currently is designated as residential, to a mixed-use classification. Roy Krantz of Boston, and his partner, Brookline resident Sam Levine, who owns a home in Otis, purchased the former mill at 55 Spring Street for $250,000 in August 2006. The partners told the Community Development Board last night they are interested in transforming the 129-year-old property, which consists of 10 buildings on three acres, into an "urban village" for artists, craftspeople and creative professionals to live and work.
